There are different ratings for fire doors and the environment in which they are installed determines which rating you need to choose. Our fire doors are FD30 rated. An FD30 fire door is designed to provide up to 30 minutes resistance to flame, heat and smoke in the event of a fire. This gives everyone time to carry out a full and safe evacuation and extra time for the appropriate emergency services to attend and deal with the fire.

Where do you need to use them?

Fire doors are mandatory in certain types of building. Any building consisting of two or more storeys needs to have certain doors that are fire proof including apartment blocks or flats to ensure the safety of the residents. All public and commercial properties should have fire doors installed in the appropriate areas.
