Be The Envy Of Your Neighbours With A Coloured Composite Door

It’s not every day that you go out and buy a new front door. In fact, it’s something that you may only do once in your entire lifetime.

When you are front door shopping, remind yourself of a certain motto – “You only get one chance to create a good first impression”.

What does that have to do with your front door? It’s your front door and how it looks that often influences people’s opinions of your house.

A brand new traditional black or white composite door never fails to generate excitement, but there are other variants of colour for our composite doors to enthuse house guests.

Duck Egg Blue

Some like to refer to it as a Rococo blue due it being reminiscent of the French Rococo movement, but it’s pretty interchangeable with a Duck Egg Blue.

A soft, subtle greenish blue, it dates back to the 18th Century and is commonly used in French and Swedish interiors. The Swedes are particularly fond of applying a Duck Egg Blue finish to their walls.

Chartwell Green

The ‘Chartwell’ name comes from Chartwell House in Kent, the family home and garden of Sir Winston Churchill, who specifically asked for this tranquil green colour to be painted onto his garden furniture.

A quintessentially British colour, we find that having white or cream panelling around a Chartwell Green door serves as a nice contrast against this versatile shade. If it’s good enough for our greatest statesman, we reckon it’ll be good enough for your home.

Poppy Red

Feeling brave? A poppy red composite door is highly unlikely to go unnoticed, but for all the right reasons.

Massively vibrant, this beautiful red shade has a slightly warmer tone than a Rose Red and is a bit lighter and brighter than the kind of red you see on pillar boxes.

When they see your new coloured composite door, your neighbours will want something similar for their own place. If you’re really quick, you get one with 30% off at the Essex Composite Door Shop. Find your favourite colour here.
