It should only catch the eye for all the right reasons, not all the wrong reasons, but how do you ensure that is the case?
Well, it helps if it’s beautifully accessorised.
While all of the composite doors we sell to customers are undoubtedly attractive, they wouldn’t look half as good as they do without the right sort of door furniture.
The type of accessories you should be thinking about includes a handle for the door and, unless it’s a fully solid door, glazed inserts for any available apertures within the design. You also need to choose from various door knobs, knockers and letter plates.
Here are a couple of handy hints to get you started…
It shouldn’t be underestimated how much the style and colour of a handle can influence the overall appearance of a door.
Certain types of handles, including our Long Bar handles and Bow handles, can become the door’s main focal point, and in some examples, choosing a pull handle over a lever handle makes for a very contemporary look.
You could though decide to completely omit to add a handle, or use a concealed handle if you’re a fan of minimalism.
Mix and Match
Who said that you have to use a fully matching suite of door hardware throughout the design? We certainly don’t believe that to be true!
The shackles are off and you can use a varied mix of colours and materials to create a really unique composite door.
There are different types of glass for composite front doors, including coloured glass if you want any door glazing to complement the colour of the door or the house itself.
Textured glass also adds interest and character and you also have access to obscure glass if you need to limit the amount of natural light that enters through the door.
You can play around with a host of accessories when using our online door designer and fashioning your own composite entry door.
