October is National Home Security Month so here is our tips and advice on how to stay safe and know what to look for in a new door to protect your home.
When buying a new door, there are a variety of things that need to be taken into consideration; colour, size, weather resistance, etc. but the most important thing to think about is security. Just because you buy a door, it isn’t always guaranteed that your home will be 100% safe.
As home intruders are becoming increasingly good at sourcing weak points in doors, it is imperative that your door can withhold any forced entry attempt. At Essex Composite Door Shop, our aim is to significantly reduce and prevent this.
All of our doors are fully security tested by the British Standards Institution (BSI). But we don’t just stop there, we conduct even more security testing, because we know not every admirer of your home has good intentions.
The BSI put our doors to the test with crow bars, sledge hammers, credit cards and other tools of destruction. Our doors are even approved by the Police!
